Turner is yet to make her senior debut for the Lionesses but has been called up by Sarina Wiegman for Nations League clashes against the Netherlands and Scotland. Turner told reporters: "Honestly I think my neighbours at the start hated me because I was jumping around my house! I just remember my dad saying 'Millie I'm so proud of you' and he said that he had a feeling to be honest that I'd be called into this camp, so I think he's been talking it into reality.
"They are all very excited to come down. It's going to be such a special day for me and my family. They are all going to try and get down. I think there are about six of them coming. So, yes it's going to be a really, really good day."

Turner has been called up after playing a key role for United so far this season. The defender has started all of their Women's Super League games and scored her first goal of the season against West Ham with a brilliant effort. Turner got the nod after England captain Millie Bright was forced to withdraw from the squad due to a knee injury. It's her first call-up under current manager Wiegman.

Turner will be hoping to pick up her first cap over the next week as the Lionesses face crunch games in the Nations League. Wiegman's side need to beat the Netherlands and Scotland if they are to stand any chance of topping their group. Turner joins Manchester United team-mates Mary Earps, Ella Toone, Katie Zelem and Maya Le Tissier in the England squad.
