Aston Villa continued their unbeaten start to the 2018-19 Championship season with a 2-2 draw at home to Brentford on Wednesday night.
It appeared that Villa would be on the end of a 2-1 defeat at Villa Park, but Jonathan Kodjia scored his second of the match in the 94th minute to secure a share of the spoils.
Kodjia – on £35,000 a week at Villa Park – missed a lot of football during the 2017-18 season due to an ankle problem which required surgery.
As a result, the 28-year-old only scored one Championship goal last term, but has now managed three league strikes in the early stages of this season.

The Villa supporters have been reacting to Kodjia’s brace on social media, and it is not a surprise that the centre-forward has been hailed.
Villa have been strongly linked with a move for Chelsea forward Tammy Abraham in recent days, but Kodjia looks capable of leading the promotion charge this term.
