While speaking to the media, Ten Hag said: "We had a good week. The players you mentioned (Hojlund, Maguire and Wan-Bissaka) returned on the pitch, partly at the start of the week and today they had a session and are all training. I think [they will be fit to play]. Tomorrow we have one session. We have to see how they recover from this but it looks good."

United have been very unlucky with injuries this season. This campaign, the Red Devils had already witnessed 47 distinct instances of illnesses and injuries, with knocks to Jonny Evans and Altay Bayindir compounded matters ahead of the Liverpool game. The only outfield players who have not missed time due to injury are Diogo Dalot, Bruno Fernandes, and Alejandro Garnacho.
WHAT NEXT FOR MAN UTD?
The Red Devils will look to use their incoming players when they take on bitter rivals. How many minutes each returning man plays remains to be seen, though Hojlund seems likely to start if he is able, with Marcus Rashford underwhelming in a central striking berth recently.
